About MCFA

MCFA is recognized by the Board of Regents, as the exclusive bargaining representative for all persons in the bargaining unit. Membership is open to all MC faculty who are employed 0.5 FTE or more for two or more consecutive semesters. A Board of Directors elected from the membership governs the MCFA.

Meetings are open to anyone in the bargaining unit and copies of the electronic minutes of meetings may be obtained from the MCFA Secretary.

General meetings may be called to nominate and elect officers, amend the constitution, review union policies and programs, discuss collective bargaining issues, or perform other such business as necessary to protect and promote the interests of the union. In addition to meetings, an electronic newsletter, emailed or stored online, may be used to update members.

MCFA is responsible for holding property and funds for the attainment of union purposes. To request a copy of the annual Profit and Loss Statement, contact MCFA attention Treasurer.

We help faculty members who have problems related to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) through representation and grievance procedures. Unresolved grievances may progress to binding arbitration.

MCFA hosts a Christmas and an End of Year Gathering.
